The Pistols represented a threat in their time that today kids cannot visualize, let alone understand it. Only Elvis and the Beatles had done it before and ever since. Every song mattered in this album but Pretty Vacant stand like a timeless classic, Anarchy in the UK a volcanic revolution call, EMI denouncing their former Record Company, God Save the Queen spiting in the Queen herself and the list goes on. Yes they only recorded this album really and a few other scattered songs but what must be comprehended about the Pistols is that their hate of music didn't spare themselves. It was meant to explode and implode. It was probably the last and greatest rock missile of all times and the whole 80’s scene and even 90’s was a consequence of it. Now the world has changed too much and music has become something else entirely.

One of the most importants albums of a generation, and several generations to follow, gets a shameful production treatment from iTunes. Sid would be rolling over in his grave. The "shot that rang around the world" sounds like it has been fired out of a cap gun, inside a tin can, whilst you are wearing earmuffs. I wish I could ask for my money back, but i would much rather have been delivered the product as it is supposed to sound. Loud, angry and dangerous.

An essential album as raw and aggressive as ever. The only album the band released Bullocks roars with nary a wasted chord.

I love it. I feel this would be a great introduction to someone who's not familiar with Punk, let alone UK Punk. If only the Sex Pistols were together longer so they could make more albums like this, what a shame Sid left us early though. Still, you'll have a great time listening to the album. I highly recommend it!!

I really like the instrumentals on this album, but honestly, the singing is slightly obnoxious. If you can get past the nasal quality of Johnny Rotten's voice, then you will love the album even more than I did.
