Phenomenal ptm, Chris, and Bruno made it, but the rest are just basic pop songs, nothing real.

Wow. Lots of disappointment from fans!
The GRAMMYS is a whole different monster for ALL fans to understand.
There are many rules, good and bad, that may have many of the artists that people are upset about, not nominated because of the rules/guidelines.
I get being upset, but back it up by understanding the process, and applying it to several of the artists I hear fans moaning about.
I can think of two of the more popular ones mentioned by the fans, that either were part of last year’s deadlines to be considered for a nomination, and were not nominated last year, but have trickled over with massive hits into this year and they cannot be nominated because of the release date of complete album/CD. Being in last year’s dates for being nominated.
It’s a lot to grasp, but I’ve re-read the rules and it makes sense to me!
Here is an example...
P!nk’s “what about us” single was released 3 days prior to the cut off for any nomination for this current year, and she did get approved in the best pop vocal category for that song:
5. Best Pop Solo Performance
(For new vocal or instrumental pop recordings. Singles or Tracks only.)
• Love So Soft
• Million Reasons
• What About Us
• Shape Of You
The album was released 12 weeks later, so it probably cost her any other possible nominations.
I think P!NK is a great artist, but I only used it as an example. So, let’s not use this as a platform to hate on her or the single, or any of the other artist nominated in that category. She’s been one of the biggest selling females of all time & is still relevant 20 years later.
She’s still a huge cd, single, & video seller, & I feel she deserved that nomination for that song. It’s completely a powerful vocal, lyric, and video in this time of our situations around the world.
If you consider all of those points that is why she got the nomination! Her vocals continue to improve ..VASTLY, so a “best pop vocal” nod is completely understandable!
It’s also UP TO THE RECORD LABEL TO send their artist work to the Grammy Committee, to even be considered for a nomination, SO, you have to consider that. The GRAMMY board doesn’t consider anything that hasn’t been presented to them by all of the guidelines set forth!
If you look closely at the rules for Grammy deadline cut offs, you MAY find Kesha and Kelky Clarkson were in similar release dates as P!NK.
All 3 ladies CD’s were released around the same time, the singles got nominated and that’s all, as they were released 8-12 weeks before the entire CD.
I think if you look closer at other artists people are upset about, you’ll see deadlines kept then out of being nominated or the cd was released in last year’s deadlines. But singles have exploded and lasted into this season, but fall into last season’s deadlines.
Whether we like the nominations or not, each year has surprises good and bad for me. However: the show is amazing to watch and I’m so looking forward to each performance! The show is always amazing and they always get that right for entertainment value! Very excited to see Gaga, p!nk, & jay z!
Just my observation.
Not fair representation
There is a absolutely no acknowledgement of any of the metal and rock pieces that have been nominated. The Grammy community needs to be fair and represent a sampling of ALL nominees across every category. There are many very talented rock and metal acts out there that have incredibly powerful songs and messages in their work, and some are nominated, and none get any spotlight. Until that happens, and they are fairly represented, the Recording Academy is unfairly representing the music community as a whole.

I mean it could be better.
You forgetting some people?
Grammys are so overrated!
So many other musicians deserve to be on this list that never see the light of day. It's all politics.
Grammy’s have been a joke for sometime.

At 60 yrs old I’ve seen a few Grammy’s. I would watch and be full of anticipation. There would be many bands/singers that were real musicians, and put out great music. It was fun to watch and when my favorites won, what an amazing feeling. Even if who I wanted to win didn’t, someone would win and it was OK anyway. There is great music out there that gets no recognition. One reason is fans settle for less, tone deaf. But what do you expect from children. Overall the Grammy’s have been a joke for sometime, would rather watch paint dry.
Love Galore was one of the biggest songs this year #grammysalwaysgetsitwrong
Ari lana Demi katy and many other aritists deserve this
