This album kills it! If you are a fan of the 80s Priest then don't hesitate. Yes it saounds similar to the 80s style- The best praise to give them IMO.

Great album chock full of metal. I very much like the piano intro of Guardians into anthemic Rising from Ruins - joined by many tracks with fast riffs, Halford’s voice strong as ever, and the full Firepower of Judas Priest.

Best album they released in years. Great tracks like Firepower, Lightning Strike, and No Surrender. This brings it back to the good old days of British Steel and Screaming for Vengeance. Would definitely buy and listen to over and over and over again.

Hard, solid riffs, thundering rhythms and songs that make the most of Uncle Rob's more gravelly vocals. If you just want to bang your head, get a few goosebumps and drive really fast with a whiskey bottle in one hand, this album is for you!

Ever since middle school I have loved Judas! This album is sick!!!! And reminds me of the good old days, when Metal was real! I cannot believe this album sounds as good as it does in this day of age. It’s like taking a time machine and listening to a old Judas Priest album that was never released to the public. CRAZY! MIND BLOWING! WORTH EVERY FREAKING PENNY!

It’s easy to ignore a bunch of five star reviews for a new album from a music icon. When a band has been around as long as Judas Priest, there are bound to be legions of devoted fans who will swoon over pretty much anything they release. I am well aware of this fact, and so I feel I have to start by admitting my bias: I am a proud Priest fan. But...don’t write me off just yet. I have no trouble admitting that there are numerous albums by these metal titans that TOTALLY miss the mark (much of their 80’s era output and both albums with Ripper Owens immediately come to mind...as does Nostradamus). Having said all that, Firepower is everything I could have wanted from a new Judas Priest album. It is the classic Priest sound developed on albums like Sad Wings of Destiny (btw...hey iTunes, get with the program and make SWoD available...it’s one of the most important metal albums EVER and you guys are nuts for not having it in the store) and Hellbent for Leather, along with a strong dose of the more modern power metal sound that has come about from generations of metal fans inspired by Halford and crew. This album is strong through and through—incredible vocals, solid guitar work, good riffs, great drumming, many memorable songs that could easily become anthems in the years to come, top-notch production...and just plain HEAVY. Firepower is absolutely relevant for contemporary metal fans and deserves serious attention. I believe this is the definitive statement for this era of Priest’s career and, when the time comes for them to finally call it a day (hopefully that’s still years away), I think this album may well be seen as one of the highlights of their impressive catalog. Believe it. Get it. Feel the power.
